​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Dholpur is a newly formed district of Rajasthan, carved out of Bharatpur district. It is bounded on the northeast of the Agra district of Uttar Pradesh, on the south by the Morena district of Madhya Pradesh, on the west by the Sawai Madhopur district and on the north by the Bharatpur district of Rajasthan. Dholpur shares its boundary with other regions, nevertheless the commonly used language is Hindi , agriculture is the main occupation of Dholpur district. People of Dholpur enjoy all the cultural activities, also they prefer Hindi and traditional music. Dholpur has many small scale industries which are growing in numbers and few large scale units is also operating in the district. A gas based thermal power plant of 330 Megawatt capacity has started in Dholpur to initiate an industrial revolution in the district. Dholpur is a junction of the Central Railways and is also served by regular bus services of the Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh roadways which help in increasing tourism in the district, there are many forts and places includes ancient Mughal Garden, Nihal Tower, The Machkund Temple, Chopa Shiv Temple, Sher Shikar Gurudwara,Shrgarh and many more. Dholpur is more famous for its historical revelations and sightseeing that anything else. But with the rapid growth of infrastructure and population, this region has progressed as a potential health care and educational hub as well. The entire district is blessed with efficient health care and educational facilities starting from the grassroots level.
